As part of the amazing Knit 1, Bike 1 Exhibition that will be held at The Active Travel Hub for 2 weeks in September, The Hub will also be holding a beginners Weaving workshop with Janet Renouf-Miller on the 26th September.
The weaving workshop will be an introduction to weaving and will last around 2 1/2 hours followed by an optional short bike ride on the National Cycle Network. Manual or electric bikes can be borrowed for the bike ride and it will last around 1 hour.
The Knit 1, Bike 1 exhibition showcases the work of Janet Renouf-Miller, who cycled round Scotland on a Brompton folding bicycle, delivering 21 workshops on the way.
Not only that, she knitted and crocheted what she saw, anything from the Glenfinnan Viaduct to her bicycle and a cooked breakfast. AND she wrote a book about it!
Janet was nominated as one of the top 100 women in cycling by cycling UK for the work she did to spread the word about cycling.
