DIGITAL STORIES

Story threads East Ayrshire is a Digital Storytelling Project run by Scottish Book Trust and East Ayrshire Leisure Trust.

Digital Storytelling is a collective term for stories told via digital means, in this case using digital images and recorded audio narrative. The project aimed to give ‘digitally excluded’ people the opportunity to learn new skills as well as giving them a voice to tell their story. The stories shown here were created by participants through workshops facilitated by Digital Storyteller in residence Taylor McInroy. Participants were encouraged to tell stories from their own lives, favourite memories, challenges overcome or sometimes just something they enjoy.

Our History

The Kilmarnock Station Railway Heritage Trust was formed in 2014 to bring a number of redundant
railway offices and rooms into community use.
